We have a Biologist and several Certified Sewage Enforcement Officers (S.E.O.) on staff to solve any problems or answer any questions you may have. We will also assist you, the customer, in adhering to any township requirements that may apply or exist in the locality of the property; requirements that you may not be aware of, however we at All County & Associates specialize in.


Only by pumping and visual inspection can the actual tank capacity and conditions be completely determined. Broken baffles and cases of high sludge levels (see above image) can allow solids to flow out of the tank and into the areas around the tank, also known as the “Absorption Field,” or “Drain Field”, and this can result in a costly failure of your system.

In some cases, our inspectors can detet a system failure by conducting a dye test.  Other malfunctions can be detected by the use of a camera in your system.

Signs of Septic System trouble:

  1. Toilet runs sluggish.
  2. Sewer odors in the house and /or drinking water.
  3. Sponginess around septic tank, distribution box or dosing tank and absorption area.
  4. Backup of sewage into laundry tubs or other fixtures.


Frequent questions to ask :

  1. Ask for drawings regarding the actual location of the existing system.
    * This will assist the future of repairs and maintenance.
  2. Ask for the records regarding the maintenance of the system
    A. Has the system been pumped at a frequency of at least 3-5 years?
    B. Who was the pumping agent/company?
    C. What repairs have been needed or made on the existing system and the age of the system if known.
  3. Has there ever been a Dye Test preformed on the system?
    * This may show that at some point there may have been a malfunction that had occurred.
  4. Type of tank and size?
    * Steel tanks last 20-25 years, rust and eventually collapse.
    * Concrete tanks are generally viable, but may have problems over time with the inlet or  outlet baffles or possible cracks which cause seepage or ground water around the tank.
  5. How many people are (were) living in the home
    * What where their ages?
